[NOTICE] LEATHER TYPE GUIDE

GENERAL INFORMATION

  • This product is made from genuine leather. Exposure to moisture or chemicals such as detergents, alcohol, oils, or cosmetics may cause discoloration, staining, or damage. As these issues are difficult to restore and cannot be repaired, please handle the product with care.
  • Please note when wearing dark colors of clothes or rubbing can cause stain on the bright color of leather.
  • In case of prolonged rubbing and damage of leather's scratch can not be restored and we do not offer as of it.
  • We recommend that cleaning and maintenance be entrusted to a professional service. Please note that we are not responsible for any leather damage caused by individual repairs.

1) Suede

LEATHER CHARACTERISTICS

*This leather is susceptible to moisture and heat. Additionally, due to the dyeing process after treatment for a soft surface, color transfer may occur onto clothing or bags. Please consider this before purchasing and be cautious when wearing it.

*Suede cowhide is softer and lighter than other types of leather, making it more susceptible to damage and tearing due to force or friction. Please handle it with care.

*Due to the natural characteristics of suede, veins, wrinkles, and spots may be visible. Each piece of suede may have different textures or appear mottled. These are natural occurrences in genuine leather and are not considered defects.

CARE INSTRUCTIONS

∙ Gently brush in the direction of the grain using a suede-specific brush.

∙ If water or beverages are spilled, immediately blot with a dry cloth. Do not rub, as it may spread the stain.

∙ Store in a well-ventilated, shaded area away from direct sunlight.

∙ Never seal in a plastic bag, as it may cause mold to form.

∙ Suede is extremely sensitive to moisture and humidity. Excessive use of dehumidifiers or exposure to sunlight may cause discoloration.

∙ To maintain the shape, stuff the inside with filler materials when storing.

∙ It is recommended to apply a suede-specific waterproof spray before use. When spraying, keep a distance of 20–30 cm and apply evenly to avoid stains. Regular reapplication is advised, about once a month.

2) Nubuck

LEATHER CHARACTERISTICS

*This leather is susceptible to moisture and heat. Additionally, due to the dyeing process after treatment for a soft surface, color transfer may occur onto clothing or bags. Please consider this before purchasing and be cautious when wearing it.

*Due to the natural characteristics of nubuck, veins, wrinkles, and spots may be present. Each piece of leather may have different textures or appear mottled. These are natural occurrences in genuine leather and are not considered defects.

*When using a nubuck leather bag, dark stains can easily appear on areas such as the handle, sides, and parts that are frequently rubbed. These stains are caused by the accumulation of oil, sweat, and dust from hands, and are considered a form of natural wear rather than a product defect.

CARE INSTRUCTIONS

∙ Use a nubuck-specific brush or a rubber brush to remove dust and debris.

∙ For water stains, gently blot with a dry cloth and allow to air dry naturally.

∙ For oil or food stains, a nubuck eraser (suede eraser) can be used.

∙ Never wipe directly with water or scrub with detergent, as it may damage the surface.

∙ Nubuck is extremely sensitive to moisture and humidity. Excessive use of dehumidifiers or exposure to sunlight may cause discoloration.

∙ Store in a cool, well-ventilated, and shaded place.

∙ For long-term storage, place the item in a cotton cover or cloth pouch.

∙ It is recommended to apply a nubuck-specific waterproof spray before use. When spraying, maintain a distance of 20–30 cm and apply evenly to avoid stains. Reapply every 3–4 weeks and allow to dry thoroughly in the shade.

3) Leopard suede

LEATHER CHARACTERISTICS

*Due to the naturally smaller size of goat hides, multiple pieces of leather are used to craft a single bag. As a result, the grain and color may vary slightly on each panel of the product. This is a natural characteristic of goat leather and should not be considered a defect.

*Crafted using a special dyeing technique, the product may discolor or experience color transfer even with slight exposure to moisture.

*This leather is susceptible to moisture and heat. Additionally, due to the dyeing process after treatment for a soft surface, color transfer may occur onto clothing or bags. Please consider this before purchasing and be cautious when wearing it.

*Suede goatskin is softer and lighter than other types of leather, making it more susceptible to damage and tearing due to force or friction.

Do not rub, as it may cause the stain to spread.

∙ Store in a well-ventilated, shaded area and avoid direct sunlight.

∙ Never seal the item in a plastic bag, as this may lead to mold formation.

∙ Suede is extremely sensitive to moisture and humidity. Excessive use of dehumidifiers or exposure to sunlight may cause discoloration.

∙ To help maintain its shape, stuff the interior with filler materials when storing.

∙ It is recommended to use a suede-specific waterproof spray before use. When spraying, maintain a distance of 20–30 cm and apply evenly to avoid stains. For ongoing protection, reapply regularly—about once a month is ideal.

4) Washed nappa

LEATHER CHARACTERISTICS

* Washed nappa leather is loved for its natural, vintage charm—it's a material that becomes more beautiful with time and use.

*Lamb leather is softer and lighter than other types of leather, making it more prone to damage or tearing from force or friction. Please handle it with care. In particular, the edges of bags may experience frequent friction and are therefore more susceptible to wear. This is a natural characteristic of soft nappa leather and is not classified as a defect. As such, exchanges, refunds, or compensation cannot be offered for these occurrences.

*After the washing process for a vintage look, oil may rise to the surface, leading to possible staining. Please take extra care when wearing light-colored clothing. If you wipe the bag with a dry cloth upon receiving it, the oil will gradually dry over time, and any transfer will naturally disappear. Stains caused by this process are not considered defects and are not eligible for exchanges or refunds.

CARE INSTRUCTIONS

∙ Upon receiving a new item, gently wipe the entire surface with a dry cloth and allow it to air out in a well-ventilated area.

∙ Do not use general leather cleaners, as they can strip natural oils and cause damage.

∙ Always use a cleaner specifically formulated for nappa or soft leather. Apply only a small amount and test on an inconspicuous area first.

∙ If the item gets wet, blot immediately with a dry cloth and let it air dry naturally.

∙ Do not rub or use a hair dryer while the leather is wet, as this may cause cracking or hardening.

∙ Waterproof spray may be used; however, for washed nappa leather with a naturally oily texture, avoid glossy finishes, as they may cause visible stains. Use only a matte-finish waterproof spray and always test before application.

∙ To preserve the shape, fill the interior when storing and keep the item in a cloth cover or dust bag, away from sunlight and humidity.

5) Pull-up

LEATHER CHARACTERISTICS

*Pull-up leather develops a lighter two-tone effect on folded or scratched areas, creating a vintage appeal over time.

*For pull-up leather, areas that are folded or scratched during the washing process may exhibit a lighter two-tone effect. This is a natural characteristic of pull-up leather and is not considered a defect.

∙ Pull-up leather is prone to light scratches such as fingernail marks and scuffs. However, these can often fade when gently rubbed with your hand—the heat and pressure help redistribute the leather’s natural oils. If scratches are bothersome, apply a small amount of unscented, mild cream (e.g., Physiogel) and rub gently. The cream's similar properties to the leather’s oils may help reduce the appearance of marks.

∙ Over time, pull-up leather may become dry and stiff as its oils evaporate. To maintain its softness and shine, apply a leather-specific oil (such as leather balm or leather cream) every 3 to 6 months to replenish moisture and oils.

∙ Avoid prolonged exposure to sunlight, as it can cause oil evaporation, fading, and hardening. Store in the shade whenever possible.

∙ Because pull-up leather contains a high amount of natural oils, using general waterproof sprays may cause uneven staining. Their use is not recommended.

6) Cracked

LEATHER CHARACTERISTICS

*Crack leather may experience partial loss of surface finish over time; however, this is a natural occurrence that highlights the inherent characteristics of the leather. This is not considered a defect, and therefore, exchanges, refunds, or compensation cannot be provided for such cases.

*Please note that light-colored leather items may experience color transfer when worn with dark-colored clothing, such as black garments or denim. Any repairs, exchanges, or returns due to such issues will not be accepted. We kindly ask for your special care when wearing these items.

* The deepening of cracks is a natural process—crack leather is a material that gracefully ages over time. As the years go by, the texture evolves into richer, more beautiful patterns.

CARE INSTRUCTIONS

∙ Due to its naturally fine creases, crack leather is more prone to absorbing foreign substances. After use, gently wipe the surface with a soft dry cloth or microfiber cloth.

∙ In case of stains or dirt, avoid rubbing as the crack surface is delicate. Instead, apply a small amount of leather cleaner to a soft cloth and dab gently to clean.

∙ Polishes and oils should be used sparingly, as they may obscure the textured finish of crack leather.

∙ Before using a waterproof spray, please test it on the leather patch inside the lining to check for any discoloration or staining.

∙ This cracked leather is equipped with basic water-resistant functionality, but due to differences in the chemical components of each waterproof spray, there is a risk that the leather surface may peel, the gloss may be damaged, or excessive gloss may occur.

7) Crinkle / Glossy plain

LEATHER CHARACTERISTICS

* Crinkle leather is distinguished by its artificial wrinkles created through coating the leather surface. This process provides a vintage look, with the degree of wrinkles varying depending on the surface. Over time, it becomes even more flexible and soft with use.

* Glossy plain leather is a smooth, pattern-free leather characterized by its even surface texture and shiny finish.

*The degree of wrinkling may vary depending on the surface, but this is not considered a defect.

CARE INSTRUCTIONS

∙ While relatively resistant to scratches, gently wipe the surface with a microfiber cloth.

∙ In case of moisture, absorb it immediately. Avoid using a wet cloth—lightly blot with a dry cloth instead.

∙ Use a leather cleaner that does not contain alcohol.

∙ Store in a dust bag away from direct sunlight, and avoid friction between leather surfaces.

∙ If pressure marks appear, allow them to recover naturally. Storing the item with its shape supported will help it return to its original form over time.
